Pregnancy So Far.....

Well today I am 9 weeks and 2 days pregnant and I threw up for the first time so far this pregnancy.

The day I found out I was pregnant I was just a couple days 'late'. Chase knew I was going to be taking a pregnancy test and he leaves for work at 5:30am. He nudged me asking me to go take it so he could see before he went to work, and I said, 'NO WAY! ITS FIVE AM!' :) (nice wife eh?) I took it when I got up for work. Chase texted me and asked if I was pregnant, I then sent him a picture of the positive pregnancy test. He texted me back and says 'I can't read that, I dunno what that means.' So I then had to explain to him that it was a positive pregnancy test (like I would send it to him if it was negative). haha but he was really happy after that and said it was the BEST day at work. He even told some of the guys he worked with right away cuz he knew he couldn't hold it in.

Right around my 6 week mark the sickness started. I never threw up but for a week and a half I felt queasy all day long. Its been a lot of toast with jam, soda crackers, ginger ale. I couldn't drink water for the longest time and that was hell because water is the ONLY thing that quenches my thirst. I don't drink pop, I am only a juice person in the morning if we have it in the fridge. But since I've been pregnant its been all about the juice, mr freezie popsicles (or Otter Pops for you Americans) and toast. I do NOT crave meat, the thought of a burger makes me want to throw up. Maybe thats why I started my vegetarian thing, baby wants this stuff I guess. I like salad, fruit, and breads. I have eaten meat in moderation but not a lot thats for sure.

Well the sickness stopped and I could drink water again! YAY! I only started feeling sick in the mornings again just a few days ago but by he afternoon it was gone and I was fine. Today was weird. I seem to wake up in the middle of the night at like 4 or 5 for about an hour or two, really quite annoying and I do not appreciate it. But my sister Sue suggested eating something when I wake up because baby could be waking me up because my stomachs empty and it needs something. So I get up, have toast or cereal and then try to sleep again. Well today I woke up around 6:30ish, got some cereal and a banana and tried to go back to sleep. Well lunch time rolled around and Chase was picking up lunch for me so I was waiting for it, but my stomach started hurting so I decided to have a banana to tie me over. Apparently that was a bad idea. Banana and juice on an empty stomach = the first throw up of my pregnancy. Chase was standing in the kitchen and our back door was part way open. He said the dogs were looking in wondering what was going on. I walked out of the bathroom and Chase goes, 'The dogs thought there was an Exorcism going on in there!!!!' I laughed so hard. I really am a loud barfer and I can't help it. But the look on Chase's face and the sound of his voice was priceless!!

So far I can't complain too much if have only thrown up once. It still hasn't hit me that there's a baby in there. Mostly the queasiness was just annoying. :) Chase just got done massaging my feet for me though, not because they are swollen or anything, but just cuz I asked and he did. He's the best.
Stay tuned for the next chapter.........

So exciting . . .not the barfing so much . . .but the fact that you guys are going to have a baby. I wonder what other fun things your body will undergo. With Tralee I was super sick, and couldn't stand the thought of lettuce or mayo. With Hunter I craved red meat and cheese and never threw up. Heartburn set in around 16 weeks with both. The most exciting thing is feeling the baby move. I can't wait to hear what you think about that. That's also when it starts feeling "real." Good luck on this adventure!
