The Lee's have arrived!

Sue and Dan and their family came in to town on Wednesday June 29th! They overlapped with Jim and Leslie so we had some days with both families and they stayed for about 10 days!

They hadn't been here since 2008!

Joni and her boyfriend Eli also came up that day so we had 4 out of 6 of us siblings together at the same time!!

Aunty Cammi and Kelly Belly

silly

Way silly!!

This is Silly Colleeny.

We took a day and went out to The Jacobs land down by the river that we grew up on. We shot gophers, the boys fished a little bit. But mostly we just played and played.

Aunty Leslie with the kids in the back of Grandpa Ross' truck.

Jim of course had to try and snare a gopher. The kids liked this a lot!

Keaton learned how to shoot... well kind of... but he tried! :)Chase and Dad

Us girls took a step up to shoot the shot gun at a target on the ground.

Here is Joni.

Chase and Eli walked out into the field to get their gophers.

Tralee and Colleen are the same age and they were best friends this whooooole trip!!

Kelly trying to scope out some gophers for us.

Jim and his kill.

Henry was a pretty good shot!

I let little Colleeny pull the trigger on my gun... She wanted to try so I let her!

So tough!

This was just a day or two of our fun! Stay tuned for the rest!!

Jim and Leslie's family in Canada

The majority of my siblings came to visit Canada this summer already and the first family to get here was the Jim and Leslie Jacobs family. They pulled up to my house the evening of June 25th and stayed for a week!

Uncle Jim and Zayah hanging out

We went to Red Rock Canyon that Monday. Always so beautiful up there.

We had to make a stop at Cameron Falls of course.

We drove down past the Falls and hung out at South Beach. We skip rocks and have lunch and just enjoy the scenery.

This is Zayah sitting up in her stroller like such a big girl. 5 months old. We were taking a walk over to Grandma and Grandpas so we could go play with Jim , Leslie, and the kids.

Tuesday morning Jim and Leslie wanted to go to the temple so I watched their kiddos. We went up to the school and played in the gym.

We spent a lot of days at the Beazer Hole swimming and playing because we had some awesome weather while they were here. Jim dropped a hook in just down from the swimming hole and caught this gem of a fish. Tralee named him Polka Dot.

Making a little pool for Polka Dot.

Leslie had a new camera and took lots of pictures (that i haven't gone through yet) but she got some good shots of us swimming and shooting gophers and everything. It was so much fun to have them here!

That Wednesday more family came into town. Next post coming up!

Bevans Reunion

On June 24th and 25th we had a Bevans reunion at Chase's Uncle Gerald and Aunt Karens farm. This year it was actually Dee and Denise's (our) family's turn to be in charge. Well Dee and Denise are on a mission so the responsibility was to the kids. Michael and Cherlyn got everything ready, delegated jobs to everyone and it turned out great!

Uncle Michael and Zayah
So strong!

Cousin Jack entertaining Z for me.

Zayah and Lily... these 2 are about 7 months apart

We had a rodeo at the reunion. This is Coen being the bull and all the other kids were trying to putt the bull across the arena.

Now they kids tried to pull the Uncles across.

Cousins Jared and Madison.

Now we had to go grab a sheep, put a family member on top to ride it and then all of us had to get back to the finish line!

Cousin Brooklyn holding Z

Silly Jared again.

Brielle and Zayah

Aunty Tisa and Zayah Mae

Grandpa Frank Bevans and Grandma Marj.

It turned out to be a great weekend. Lots of family, food, laughs, and hors back riding. :) Next time there is a Bevans reunion Dee and Denise will be home and everyone will be there.

Chase's First Fathers Day!

Here is a picture of the 2 loves of my life......

Pretty darn cute if you ask me.

We did fun things for Chase before Fathers Day and he also got his presents early. We got him a new tv and I found a pair of golf clubs on Kijiji! Chase just recently took up golfing and likes to go with his friends on the weekends he is home. So I found him a cheap pair of clubs and we ended up getting a really good set for a good price!! Love that. We also went out to where some friends were camping the night before fathers day and hung out with them so Chase could have a night to just relax with friends.

On Fathers Day Sunday we relaxed, then went over to my Dad and Judys house for dinner and presents with my Dad.

Zayah and Chase just chillin'.

It was good weather that day and very family oriented. We love that.

Later that day at home Zayah was rolling around our house and rolled herself right underneath the coffee table!! She is moving around so much!! She wants to crawl so bad, I can see it, but she just doesn't quite know what to do yet. She is turning herself in circles and rolling and pulling and scooting herself. She's hilarious to watch.

This picture is from Fathers Day. Zayah was being fussy because she needed a nap so Grandpa Ross took her for a walk around the house and they ended up in bed passed out.

Good work Grandpa!

Our Chase is an amazing husband and Father and we love him soooooo much!

He's a hardworker, he's easygoing, he's fun, he's funny, and he loves us so much too! You won't see Chase happier than how happy he is when he spends time with his little girl. She can make him laugh outloud and he's already wrapped around her little finger!

We love our Dads!!

4 months

4 months has flown by and Zayah Mae is growing up so fast!! Any of you parents out there figured out a way to slow this down so they can stay little longer?!

Zayah update:

  • In Zayahs mind everything is edible. Toys, blankets, her bumbo, my hand, etc.

  • Zayah sleeps through the night. Usually gets up around 6:30 or 7:00am, eats, and then goes back to bed until 9:30 or 10:00am.

  • She is grabbing things with her little hands now. Anything in front of her she will reach for and of course put it straight to her mouth. She knows that her Binky goes to her mouth and will try so hard to get it in her mouth the right way. She usually ends up sucking on the side or the back of it but she knows the basic concept.

  • She is so happy!! She laughs, giggles, and smiles all the time! No matter how upset you are or if it's a bad day, you go pick her up from bed or just look at her and smile and she has the biggest happy face waiting for you. I love that.

  • When she was about 3 months or just over 3 months she started to roll from her back to her belly and never really did anymore. Probably because most of the day she plays in her exersaucer and has a ball. Well one day I laid her down in the middle of the living room, ran outside to put the dogs in and when I came back inside she was all the way over by the couch. She had just rolled and kept on going. And of course I missed it.

  • at 3 and a half months she is a rolling machine. She doesn't like to stay on her back too much. She will roll immediately to her belly and then just play on her belly for a long time. She loves tummy time. Occasionally, (when I'm not working of course) she will roll over and over and over and I'll find her across the living room.

A picture just to show my happy girl :)

  • My baby girl is sitting up!!!!! She is fairly steady and likes to grab her feet or whatever toy you put in front of her.

  • She has definitely found her feet. If she does stay on her back she will grab her feet and LOVES when she has shoes on to play with and try to suck on as well.

  • She will hold your fingers when she's tired and trying to fall asleep. She just needs to know you are there and she relaxes and gets so peaceful.

  • Her eyes are still blue and she has fuzzy light brown hair. So much lighter than it was when she was born.

  • She does not like me to get her Boogies out of her nose. She cries harder at that then anything.

  • She is the happiest in the morning. Going to get her from her crib is the best part of my day.

  • She lights up when she sees Chase.

  • I can't stop kissing her cheeks, they're irresistible.

  • She has a daily routine. Eat, play, nap, eat, play, nap. These naps are only like 20 or 30 mins and she usually passes out on the couch or the rug. Some days I will wrap her up and put her in her crib for a nap and she will sleep for an hour or more but mostly we just stay out in the living room and play.

  • If she starts to whine you can just walk around the house or go up to the window and let her look out and that usually cures everything.

Zayah got her 4 month shots on Monday June 6, 2011. She didn't cry through the first one, cried for the 2nd and 3rd and then when they were done Chase held a toy up in front of her and she was done crying in an instant. :) It was pretty funny. She weighs 16 pounds and is 25 and 1/4 inches long. She had a cold when we got her shots and that night broke a slight fever, but I gave her medicine before bed and it went away. Her cold is down to just a runny nose now too so hopefully it will all be over soon.

That is an update on our little girl. I am trying to convince Chase that we shouldn't rock the boat and we should just have one child. We got a good baby that sleeps and is happy the first time and I have a feeling if we have another one they will be a hellion. :) haha.. He's not convinced yet, I'll keep trying.
