CANADA DAY!!!!!!!

Canada Day is on July 1st and we always celebrate big!! Plus this was Zayah's first Canada Day and her Aunty Leslie had made her a very festive outfit!

Our little fam on Canada Day!

I found this maple leaf headband just days before Canada Day and wanted it for some pictures with Z.

Adorable if you ask me.

Then we switched to the white headband and maple leaf clips. Maple leaf clips also made by Aunt Leslie!

Nikki gave me a Canada pedicure.

Every July 1st at the Mountain View Church they have a program, then we go over to the school for some races and games for all ages, with prizes and fun! This is Joni and Eli at the program.

My Dad was in charge of the program this year and wanted it to be simple, acoustic, about the area, but also fun. This is the Lee kids singing 'Whacka Do' and Henry did awesome singing!

Sue sang a song from the musical 'Wicked' and she did so good as well!! I liked this song!

My Dad sang 'Then They Do' by Trace Atkins. He changed the words a little at one part to talk about Joni and her boyfriend and I was up on stage helping with harmony. We were all bawling our eyes out! haha

Joni and I were the closing number and we sang 'The House that Built Me' by Miranda Lambert. I love Love LOVE this song!

There were about 3 other numbers on the program. Some of Dads old bandmates did some numbers with their kids and by themselves. We got a lot of good feedback about it.

We made it over to the races. Colleen and Tralee had so much fun playing Together as Friends! haha

Joni and Colleen decided to have their own race back at the house.

That evening we did some fishing.

hahah silly Colleen.

Dan patiently waiting for that bite!

Love this picture of my Dad.

After fishing it was back to the yard for a weeny roast and Fireworks!

We watched the fireworks and then headed to bed not too long after. Also in town this trip was my Aunt Venice and Aunt Sherry (Dads sisters). They were staying with Grandma and came out to join us at teh fires and such. It was a great Canada Day! Happy 144th Canada!

The Lee's have arrived!

Sue and Dan and their family came in to town on Wednesday June 29th! They overlapped with Jim and Leslie so we had some days with both families and they stayed for about 10 days!

They hadn't been here since 2008!

Joni and her boyfriend Eli also came up that day so we had 4 out of 6 of us siblings together at the same time!!

Aunty Cammi and Kelly Belly

silly

Way silly!!

This is Silly Colleeny.

We took a day and went out to The Jacobs land down by the river that we grew up on. We shot gophers, the boys fished a little bit. But mostly we just played and played.

Aunty Leslie with the kids in the back of Grandpa Ross' truck.

Jim of course had to try and snare a gopher. The kids liked this a lot!

Keaton learned how to shoot... well kind of... but he tried! :)Chase and Dad

Us girls took a step up to shoot the shot gun at a target on the ground.

Here is Joni.

and Leslie

Chase and Eli walked out into the field to get their gophers.

Tralee and Colleen are the same age and they were best friends this whooooole trip!!

Kelly trying to scope out some gophers for us.

Jim and his kill.

Henry was a pretty good shot!

I let little Colleeny pull the trigger on my gun... She wanted to try so I let her!

So tough!

This was just a day or two of our fun! Stay tuned for the rest!!

Jim and Leslie's family in Canada

The majority of my siblings came to visit Canada this summer already and the first family to get here was the Jim and Leslie Jacobs family. They pulled up to my house the evening of June 25th and stayed for a week!

Uncle Jim and Zayah hanging out

We went to Red Rock Canyon that Monday. Always so beautiful up there.

We had to make a stop at Cameron Falls of course.

We drove down past the Falls and hung out at South Beach. We skip rocks and have lunch and just enjoy the scenery.

This is Zayah sitting up in her stroller like such a big girl. 5 months old. We were taking a walk over to Grandma and Grandpas so we could go play with Jim , Leslie, and the kids.

Tuesday morning Jim and Leslie wanted to go to the temple so I watched their kiddos. We went up to the school and played in the gym.

We spent a lot of days at the Beazer Hole swimming and playing because we had some awesome weather while they were here. Jim dropped a hook in just down from the swimming hole and caught this gem of a fish. Tralee named him Polka Dot.

Making a little pool for Polka Dot.

Leslie had a new camera and took lots of pictures (that i haven't gone through yet) but she got some good shots of us swimming and shooting gophers and everything. It was so much fun to have them here!

That Wednesday more family came into town. Next post coming up!

Bevans Reunion

On June 24th and 25th we had a Bevans reunion at Chase's Uncle Gerald and Aunt Karens farm. This year it was actually Dee and Denise's (our) family's turn to be in charge. Well Dee and Denise are on a mission so the responsibility was to the kids. Michael and Cherlyn got everything ready, delegated jobs to everyone and it turned out great!

Uncle Michael and Zayah
So strong!

Cousin Jack entertaining Z for me.

Zayah and Lily... these 2 are about 7 months apart

We had a rodeo at the reunion. This is Coen being the bull and all the other kids were trying to putt the bull across the arena.

Now they kids tried to pull the Uncles across.

Now we had to go grab a sheep, put a family member on top to ride it and then all of us had to get back to the finish line!
