The Cherry on Top

Well today was the last day of the Olympics. And personally, I am going to miss them. Summer or Winter, I could sit there and watch the Olympics all day. I wish that we didn't have to go back to NHL or different teams and just compete as countries. I love that everyone gets behind their athletes and they all unite. No Flames fan vs. Edmonton fans, or Rangers vs. The Red Wings. Everyone cheering for their own country and its awesome! Today in the final event of the Olympics the Canadian mens Hockey team took on the mens team from the USA. These 2 teams met on US soil in Salt Lake City in 2002 and they had already met once in these Olympics and Canada had fallen on their own soil to the US. In Salt Lake City Canada women's and mens hockey teams beat the US in the Gold Medal Games. I remember watching with my family, I was in 10th grade and we cheered so loud my throat hurt the next day. Earlier in the games when the US took on Canada we went back to the same place we had watched before at my parents house with the family and again, we screamed and cheered and yelled so much and so loud my throat was sore. But the Canadian team fell to the US 5-3. Canada had to win every single game they played from their on out to even have a shot at the Gold Medal Game on their home soil. Germany first - win....... Russia next - win........... Then Slovakia - win...............
All of these leading up to the Gold Medal Game.
Stats in these Olympics said that in 26 out of 29 games the team that scored first ended up winning. The whole first period was scoreless. And in the second period Toews from the Canadian team got a rebounded shot and put it back in to score the first goal of the game against the almost always unstoppable US goalie Ryan Miller.

IT REALLY WAS SUCH A GOOD GAME!!!!!

I wish I was there...

That sign sums it up perfectly especially on this day. Because as the stats suggested, Canada scored the first goal and Canada ended up winning the GOLD MEDAL with a score of 3-2 in Overtime!!! The Canadian women also beat the US earlier in the week for the Gold with a shut out of 2-0! Hockey is Canada's Game!

Canada came in 3rd in overall medal standings behind the US and Germany. But, in these Olympic Games Canada set a record for the most gold medals won by a single team in the Winter Olympics. The old record was 13, which we had going into the final hockey game. We broke that record by getting gold medal #14 with the Hockey win! Days like today remind me how proud I am to be Canadian!! And yes I am half American, but they made it all the way to the gold medal game in mens and womens hockey and won the most overall medals so they should be very proud!!
I am going to miss watching the Canadians take on the other countries and the die hard fans in Vancouver. GO CANADA GO!!!!

Bath time...

This is what bath time looks like at our house for the last week and a half..

We put all 8 of them in the first time just to rinse them off because they all stepped in some poop and they stunk. Then the next day I bathed them all 2 at a time with puppy shampoo. They are all nice and clean now. :)
The next picture is what happens when we leave the bathroom door open......

Always looking for something to get into.

Just Joni

Positive, enjoyable, hilarious, gorgeous, relaxed, awesome!

Those are just some words that describe this unique creature you see in the pictures below. Check them out...........

I think I lucked out in the sister department. Joni is the closest to me in age, and we didnt always agree on things (and still dont sometimes) but it would be boring if we always did. As you can see from the pictures Joni doesn't do things as conventionally as everyone else. She always adds her own spin, her own flavor, and in the end makes it more fun! She can make me laugh by just saying or doing something random. She listens when I talk to her about serious stuff and knows how to be silly with me when the time is right. Plus, she has awesome dance moves. ;) She doesn't care what anyone thinks about what she's doing, she just does it! She does what is right for her and I admire that about her.

This is just some fun times that Joni and I have shared. What more does a girl need? She's the best! Love Ya Bones!

Love Cammi.

Nieces and nephews

Here is a collage of some people I LOVE more than anything. I do not live near them and only get to see them once or twice a year, if that. I miss them all the time and sometimes I ache I miss them so bad. I used to live around some of them when I was younger, but then I only had about 5 or 6, and I got to watch them grow, watch them go to their first days of school and play with them. Now, I have 11, and I do not get to see them as often as I would like. Now a days I communicate with them through Skype, pictures, reading stories, and talking to them on the phone. I hope they all know how much I love and miss them. They are the greatest 11 kids I know!

Love Aunt Cammi :)

Weight Loss Challenge 2010

Today marks the first day of Weight Loss Challenge 2010 between a group of us up here!!

Here's the scoop, we weighed in and took our measurements yesterday and gave them to the one girl who is keeping track of everyones for us. Now we have 2 months, 2 months to work our little butts off, get motivated, and eat better and then we will weigh in again April 1, 2010 and see what the difference is!!! There is also a $30.00 buy in for each girl and then on April 1st whoever has lost the most pounds and inches wins the pot! And if one person loses the most pounds and if a different person loses the most inches, then they will split the pot. I figure if I am working out anyways, why not buy in for a chance to win the whole pot!!!! Every 2 weeks we have given everyone little mini challenges as well to keep them motivated. The first challenge from today to the 14th is to try and drink 10 glasses of water a day. The next 2 weeks will probably be to do X amount of sit ups everyday. We will do something like that every two weeks and we have a group page on facebook that we can all chat on and talk about our progress or set backs and ask questions! I'm really excited with the group of people that have gotten involved. Maybe try to do the same thing with a group from your area and if you don't want to do a buy in then just have a starting weigh in and then pick a date for your final weigh in and all of you get together to share your progress and have a little celebratory party, whatever gets people motivated!!
Now I need information. What are some other good mini challenges we could do? What are you favorite work outs? I have been working out everyday but its the diet that I have the problem sticking with, what do you eat when you are dieting? What has worked for you in the past!? Any advice or feedback you have would be awesome!
SEND THOUGHTS MY WAY OF WEIGHT LOSS!!!! YAY!!!
